It's said that one lie can kill a million truths on the flip side of the coin.. "One truth can kill a Million lies". I guess perspective plays a major role in those statements. I agree with both! When building any connection. Absolute honest by both parties is vital if that connection is to endure. When entering a connection openly flawed,acceptance of those short comings and laying them for inspection kills any misconception which is also vital in developing a connection and/or bond. However you look at it ,believers in both statements share common ground and belief. "Truth is essential in any bond shared between people and it is the foundation of any prospering relationship". I fancy myself an honest man . better yet I fancy as a honest friend. I believe truth & friendship go hand in hand in any relationship. Both need to be deeply embedded in the foundation for it to stand the test of time. Funny how its said" Time Kills All". That I do not agree entirely with cause despite any set of circumstances when you truly value someone, nothing stands between!. Its a life long journey beyond circumstances or convenience. I think they call that a "genuine bond"!. I didn't always value people or the connections I made. Like anything vast in this world we tend to take for granted what we don't understand or is abundant. It leads me to another statement "you never know what you have till you don't". I've spent the last 10 years confined in a place where the notion of friendship is scarce, where a good heart is often overlooked or the product of exploitation. This whole ordeal has been teaching. It has shaped the character of a man that can only be forged in the fire of adversity. Experience is life's best teacher. What you take from of is contingent on you and you alone. I often ask myself " How?" . How did I find myself in prison? Convicted of homicide and set to serve the next 14 years in this desolate place? How does a bright child with a natural sense of wonder be slated a murder? 11 years ive spent searching that road of "how". It has lead me down some dark corridors, but its lead me to the most important question to any man who is privileged to wake in the morning.. " What now?!". I am here I am able and my past and "how" does not define my now. My current situation may not be ideal but I can still make the best of it. I can still show the world the man behind the criminal charges and DOC identification number. That child turned man possessing that same sense of wonder and curiosity!. Connection are made everyday, its what you do with those connections that define you and matters most. " one truth can kill a million lies" . well there is mimes laid for display..
