Hi, I'm Aubrey. I’m a 59-year-old Southern boy currently living on Nebraska’s death row.

I am 6’1, 250 lbs, with brown hair and blue eyes. Life behind bars can be isolating and I’m looking to connect with a woman who is kind, curious, and open-minded. Age, race, religion, etc. is not important to me in a friend, but loyalty is.

I spend my time reading, painting, and writing poetry. I love to talk about antiques, old movies, and music. I suffered a stroke five years ago that put me in a wheelchair. I am fortunate to have made a full recovery, but I no longer take even the small things for granted. I take better care of myself these days by watching what I eat and spending a little time everyday exercising.

Ghosts on Death Rows
As darkness falls upon my new home,
of concrete and bars of steel.
The ghosts come out to haunt me,
of those I’ve hurt, used and killed.
I shut my eyes and cover up my head,
I beg them to go away.
They only bend closer to gently whisper,
“Not until you’re with us in the grave.”
I want to scream and run away,
But there is no place to go.
There’s no getting away from the ghosts,
When they visit me on death row.
