Unanswered Prayers

What do I want to do and who do I want to be

I am trying to find my purpose I am trying to find me

I have been searching for years I am losing my mind

God I asked you everyday will you show me a sign

If you have sent one I’m not catching what your throwing

I’ve been searching for the signs but have no way of knowing

Please forgive me for my past and all the wrongs I’ve done

I don’t know who I am or what kind of man I’ve become

Be careful what you wish for and watch what you say

The lord always comes through but only in mysterious ways

You may think that he don’t listen and doesn’t even care

But some of gods greatest gifts are the unanswered prayers
