Don’t Judge a Book by the Cover

People see what they want to see

And constantly criticize each other

But you should never judge a book

Just by the picture on the cover.

There is more to me than what you see

Open your heart and imagination

People only change when their inspired

Or faced with change or incarceration.

Now I have to pay for my mistakes

Don’t condemn me cause I’m in this place

Judge me for who I am on the inside

And not by the tattoos that are on my face.

I have made way too many mistakes

That’s what's kept me finishing last

Now I’m filled with a lifetime of regrets

That keeps me dwelling on my past.

Now I have finally learned my lesson

Let’s stop all the criticizing of one another

Please take the time to read my books

Before you judge me by my cover.
