Time

our time on earth is uncertain

nobody knows just how much

break the law and your debt to society

is determined by the number of months.

no one can get you anymore

no matter how hard you might try

time is the one and only thing

that no woman or man can buy

you will mess up and make mistakes

as people we will pay no mind

if the cost outweighs the reward

the action is not worth the time

time is priceless and nonrefundable

and that is just a fact

time doesn’t come with a receipt

so no one can take it back

time shows no one any favors

it doesn’t care if your rich or poor

time on this earth is most precious

cause no one can buy you anymore

but your freedom has a price

that’s paid when you cross that line

the cost for taking that risk

is paid back by taking your time
